Ok, so here is how this works:

My affiliate program is handled through clickbank.com.  If your not familiar with Clickbank, they're the biggest online billing center for downloadable products.  They're great, pay on time, and super easy to setup with.

So if you haven't signed up, go here then click on "SIGN UP" at the bottom of the page: Clickbank.com

Once you have your account nick name, your affiliate link will be:

http://YOURID.gidcmtc.hop.clickbank.net/

Obviously, replace "YOURID" with your clickbank ID.

The standard link above will take you to the Getting It Down Cold Workshop and Courses summary page. To link to a specific page use the following link structure:

http://YOURID.gidcmtc.hop.clickbank.net/?item=item#

replace item number with the corresponding number for the page as listed below. Example: for the Complete Music Theory Course your link will look like this:

http://YOURID.gidcmtc.hop.clickbank.net/?item=2

Secondly you can download this portion of the introduction to get promotional content and ideas. GIDC-Intro and Methods.

PAY PER CLICK

Using pay per click advertising like Google Adwords, Yahoo, or many others, you can quickly bring customers to your affiliate site.

Below are some proven ad text and keyword combinations that have worked for us.  These keywords and adgroups are grouped by RELEVANCY.  Google AND Yahoo really like relevancy... so make different adgroups about these "subniches" and use relevant ad text and keywords!

Ok, Here are some Ad Text and Keywords you can start with:

The following Excel files are set up to allow you to quickly create a search or content network campaign in google adwords using the free download Adwords Editor. You can also try the MSN and Yahoo networks if you are familiar with their operation.

Right click and save link or target as for following files, grouped files are for keywords grouped as themes in adgroups, search file is about 260 keywords each in a single adgroup:

Excel 2003 format:
PPC-Music-Course-xls.zip
CSV - Comma Separated format:
PPC-Music-Course-csv.zip
Text - Tab Delimitated:
PPC-Music-Course-group.txt
PPC-Music-Course-Search.txt

Just highlight the keywords or ad text, and copy/paste them directly into Google Adwords.

Feel free to add/subtract from this keyword list.  This is just to get you started!  You'll make more money by testing all your keywords and trying to come up with the best converting ones.

ARTICLES

Writing articles is a cheap and easy way of promoting this product.  Actually, it's more than just "cheap"... it's totally free.

This doesn't cost you a dime... and can rank very well in the search engines.

But, you should know it is NOT as effective as using Pay Per Click.   (We recommend you do BOTH!)

Here are the major "article submission" web sites you can use:

  1. GoArticles.com

  2. EzineArticles.com

  3. Squidoo.com

There are a TON more out there.  Click here for a list via Google.

I've written some quick articles for you.

But please note:  These are fairly short and you WILL want to expand on them a little bit.

Also, I would recommend you rewrite them (even if you do it one sentence at a time) so they won't show up as "duplicate content" by Google and Yahoo.

Here they are:

EMAIL AUTORESPONDER SERIES

Below you'll find an autoresponder series that you can use to seed your own email effort.  Feel free to use and modify it for your list!

FREE WAYS TO PROMOTE YOUR AFFILIATE LINK

Many people have done extremely well promoting our site without spending a dime.

These tactics CAN work, but typically they won't yield near as much money in your pocket as Pay Per Click.

Regardless, I recommend you do this AS WELL as doing pay per click.  That way you truly dominate the market from every angle!

So here's a few free techniques you can do right now:

1) Write a review of of the our course with your affiliate link at the end.  You can post these for free on review sites like GoArticles.comEzineArticles.com, and Squidoo.com.

2) Make a free blog with a site like Blogger.com.  On your blog talk about our site, then use a site like Pingomatic.com so your blog shows up in major search engines.  Obviously have your affiliate link on this as well!

3) Check out this killer Press Release site, PRweb.com.  Post a review of the our product on here with your link.  You can also pay them $80 and they will make sure your Press Release is put on ALL major search engines.

4) Post videos on YouTube.com and Google Video about our website, and include your affiliate link.

6) Make a review site about similar products and include a review of our product (This works really well right now with all the google slaps going on!).

8) Use "Social Networking" sites like Twitter.com, Facebook.com, Myspace.com, and Digg.com to promote your affiliate link and build up a network of friends!

FTC Rule Changes:

The Federal Trade Commission has issued new rules regarding the use of testimonials and endorsements. These rules take effect on December 1, 2009 and can be found at: http://www.ftc.gov/os/2009/10/091005endorsementguidesfnnotice.pdf

Please review these guidelines to ensure your web site and ads are consistent with these rules.

Ok, so that's it for now.  Time to get to work and start making some money!

Thanks,
