Indentifing Intervals Vol 1 and 2

Intervals are one of the most glossed over parts of working in music theroy. 

We have created a two volume set of workbooks for the begining music enthuasist. 

One needs to do more than just learn that the intervals is the distance between two notes. 

You need to be able to recoginize and learn the patterns to speed up your music reading ablitliy. 

The Getting It Down Cold method leads you through a four part sequence process to master and recoginize intervals.

The process:

Step 1 is an overview and gets you primed to dig into interval detials.

In step 2 you look at intervals in six ways:

1.    Name and define the interval
2.    See it on a keyboard
3.    See it on the stave of the master staff
4.    Look for patterns
5.    Describe sound characteristics play them
6.    Take a look at other interval locations and explore other patterns of the keyboard.

Step 3 and 4 work you through physical appliaction of flash cards and sight reading.

The first volume covers the basic 8 intervals of the major scale.

The second volume covers the 5 minor intervals and the augmented 4ths.

When combined they cover the full 12 intervals in one octave. The student learns and masters all these intervals
